Pool

The legacy

Inaugurated in 1929, for 60 years MOLITOR was the most popular swimming baths in Paris – with its two pools, galas and avant-garde ambience.
It was closed in 1989 and listed as a Historical Monument. It then became the haunt of artists and the dilapidated building became the temple of the Paris underground.
Ever-changing and daring, MOLITOR has always welcomed those with a taste for the unconventional. Together, they are the soul of MOLITOR, they built a legacy that simply demands to be passed on.

The pools

As its monumental emblems, MOLITOR’S two pools, measuring 46 and 33 meters, structure its architecture and the flow of people within the venue. They make it a place for living and offer a promise of renewal at the heart of the city.
The winter pool, concealed beneath its huge glass roof and surrounded by its mythical booths, is an invitation to sport, while the summer pool, surrounded by beaches, is an ode to the joys of drifting into oblivion. At MOLITOR, you are in Paris and yet you are so far away.

Restaurant

IMG_8281

IMG_8270Multi-star chef Yannick Alleno has dreamt up MOLITOR’S dining areas, to be a place for the finest urban gastronomy.
The restaurant orchestrates an encounter between a “new generation” chef and some of the Best Workers in France award winners who are invited for each season. Together, they interpret a culinary duo and compose their chosen menus based around French cuisine. A “House of Chefs” has therefore been created, with talents cross-fertilizing, expressing themselves and inspiring one another.
