    Marcela is a Brazilian artist based in Barcelona. Passionate about urban planning, she spent 8 years working on urban plans, studying the dynamics of cities and strategies for urban-social improvement. At the same time, she was also seduced by another passion, painting. Both her mother and grandmother were painters.

    In 2013, she left her architectural firm to begin a journey through many cities. It was the beginning of Mar’s first works on walls, the moment when she understood that her two passions could coexist in urban art.

    Her art is based on the study of geometry and sacred geometry. The use of bright colours, and the energy used to apply them provoke strong, mixed emotions in the spectator. All the stronger when they were able to witness Mar’s ‘dance’ with her wall.
