Retro began his graffiti career in the streets of Paris under the name TOONS, a reference to the cartoons that inspire his chubby, expressive characters. Toons is precise, methodical and hardworking. In the 90s his graffiti was already moving towards what we know today as street art.
After 15 years away from wall art, Toons got out his spray cans and rediscovered a new universe as RETRO. Retro uses colours like you see on no other wall, taking us into a world of blue-green and burgundy.
In 2018, the artist revisited a play by William Shakespeare, do not be surprised if you come across Lady Macbeth around a street corner...
