Thomas Granseuer and Tomislav Topic, originally from Hanover and Berlin, make up the artist duo Quintessenz. They studied at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim, and have developed a unique, incomparable style. With roots in graffiti culture, graphic design and chromatics, Quintessenz combines painting, the moving image and installations.

Space is Quintessenz’s primary inspiration. Their work not only uses forms and styles found in architecture, but also combines with the environment, thereby changing the perception of the viewer.

Their challenge at Molitor was to capture the heart and soul of this iconic place with an exceptional installation composed of 29 panels including 15 different colours over a length of 7 metres.
